Professor Peter Wakker obtained a master's in mathematics and a Ph.D. in economics. He has published in top journals in economics, psychology, medicine, statistics, and management science, and has co-authored papers with three Nobel prize winners.
He has received prestigious awards in mathematical psychology, medical decision making, and decision analysis, an honorary doctorate from the prominent University of St. Gallen, and the van-der-Aa-Oeuvre award as best Dutch economist in 2026.
